Modes

Score and streak

Each tile you fix adds to your score. Fixing tiles on consecutive moves builds a streak that makes each one worth more, and a swap that fixes two tiles at once earns a bonus. A move that fixes nothing, or moves a correct tile out of place, resets the streak.

Medals

Your run is rated on move efficiency (72%: the fewest moves that could solve that board, against the moves you used) and speed (28%: against a par time per tile).

Points

Finishing pays a base amount for the difficulty (40 / 60 / 80), times the difficulty’s multiplier (×1 / ×2 / ×4), times your medal: Gold ×1.5, Silver ×1.25, Bronze ×1. Rotation mode adds another ×1.25. You get full points the first time you finish a puzzle on a difficulty and mode, and a quarter after that.

The daily challenge adds a 50-point bonus. Daily streaks pay extra at 7 days (250), 14 days (600) and 30 days (1,500), and the 1,500 bonus repeats every 30 days after that.

Spend points to unlock puzzles (the first in every category is free; the rest cost 140 points and up, never more than 500) and on helpers.

Helpers

Daily challenge

Always Hard Classic, and everyone gets the same shuffle. Your first finish of the day counts for the leaderboard and your streak; replay as often as you like. Turn on streak reminders on your account page and you’ll get an email in the evening if your streak is about to end.

Challenge a friend

After finishing a puzzle (not Zen or the daily), press Challenge a friend to get a link to your exact board. Your friend gets the same shuffle and tries to beat your time; within half a second, fewer moves wins. Their first try is the one that counts.

Collections

Finish every puzzle in a category (any difficulty or mode) for a one-time bonus of 100 + 20 points per puzzle, up to 1,000. The ring on each category shows how far you are.

Events

Themed events run for a few days with their own puzzles and leaderboard. Event puzzles are free for everyone while the event is on, your best score on each counts, and finishing them all can earn a bonus.

Achievements

Eighteen achievements, from your first finish to a 30-day streak. See them all on your account page.
